چکیده
Geodetic Global Navigation Satellite System reflectometry (GNSS-R) uses ground-based signals of opportunity to retrieve sea levels at an intermediate spatial scale. GNSS-R is based on the simultaneous reception Line-of-Sight (LoS) and its coherent GNSS surface reflection (non-LOS) signals. The scope this paper present geodetic applied level altimetry. Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) measurements from a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) geodetic-quality station Haiti Coast Guard Base in Port-au-Prince used International Terrestrial Reference Frame 2014 (ITRF2014). are compared with those OTT Radar Level Sensor (RLS) installed vertically below antenna. Root-Mean-Square Error (RMSE) between RLS records 3.43 cm, correlation 0.96. In addition, complex differences 15-min using Positioning (GPS) Globalnaya Navigazionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema (or System; GLONASS) for all eight major tidal constituents mm-level agreement. Therefore, can be as complementary approach conventional method studies stable terrestrial reference frame.

Sea state monitoring using coastal GNSS - R
We report on a coastal experiment to study GPS L1 reflections. The campaign was carried out at the Barcelona Port breaker and dedicated to the development of sea-state retrieval algorithms. An experimental system built for this purpose collected and processed GPS data to automatically generate a times series of the interferometric complex field (ICF). The ICF was analyzed off line and compared ...
متن کاملSea Surface Altimetry Based on Airborne Gnss Signal Measurements
In this study the focus is on ocean surface altimetry using the signals transmitted from GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) satellites. A low-altitude airborne experiment was recently conducted off the coast of Sydney. Both a LiDAR experiment and a GNSS reflectometry (GNSS-R) experiment were carried out in the same aircraft, at the same time, in the presence of strong wind and rather hig...
متن کامل1 2 N ov 2 00 3 PARFAIT : GNSS - R coastal altimetry
GNSS-R signals contain a coherent and an incoherent component. A new algorithm for coherent phase altimetry over rough ocean surfaces, called PARFAIT, has been developed and implemented in Starlab's STARLIGHT 1 GNSS-R software package. In this paper we report our extraction and analysis of the coherent component of L1 GPS-R signals collected during the ESTEC Bridge 2 experimental campaign using...
متن کاملCircular Regression Applied to GNSS-R Phase Altimetry
This article is dedicated to the design of a linear-circular regression technique and to its application to ground-based GNSS-Reflectometry (GNSS-R) altimetry. The altimetric estimation is based on the observation of the phase delay between a GNSS signal sensed directly and after a reflection off of the Earth’s surface. This delay evolves linearly with the sine of the emitting satellite elevati...
متن کاملA Gnss-based Tide Gauge for Local Sea Level Monitoring
It is important for human society to continuously monitor the sea level, since more than 50% of the world’s population live within 60 km of the coast [1]. Moreover, global climate change is believed to result in the melting of large masses of ice in Polar Regions. This will bring freshwater into the ocean [2] and thus change the sea level [3]. The traditional way to observe sea level is with ti...
